Father’s Day June 21st

Karl WesselerI believe that most of us recognize the importance of mom to the family. Moms rule the roost and most dads are just fine with that arrangement. But we know that a father is just as important for a child as the mother is. Children depend on their father for their spiritual, emotional, physical and social well being.
For daughters, their father is the ideal man in the world and usually the first man they adore. While for the son, a father is an idol and the strongest man they want to emulate. In today’s society fathers are more involved in the child rearing job. This culture change is helping in strengthening the father-child relationships and helps build stronger family bonds.
Father’s Day gives us the opportunity to express thanks to our dad for his love and affection. The observance of  Father’s Day makes fathers feel that their contributions are acknowledged in society and also by their children. Most often children take the love of their parents for granted. Celebrating Father’s Day makes them think for the day of the very important role that their father has played in their life.
Children, take full opportunity of the day and express your gratitude with all of your heart. The best way to do so is to do small things that dad appreciates and by saying “I love you, dad” with the gift of beautiful flowers.
